MAYMESTER TERM IN OVIEDO
The Maymester term in Oviedo is ideally suited for semester schools. The courses are offered by the Casa de Las Lenguas institute of the University of Oviedo. The Maymester
begins generally on the 3rd week of May and ends 4-5 weeks later in June. The Maymester courses can be combined with the spring semester program or with one or two of the summer sessions.
The Maymester intensive courses include both general intensive Spanish language as well as several special focus Spanish courses. At present GEO offers two of ELE’s Maymester courses (click on the links for program details).
- Intensive Spanish Language (100 contact hours)
- Spanish for the Health Care Professionals. (80 contact hours + 20 hour practicum.)
During the Maymester, ELE also offers two other specialty courses: Academic Spanish (60 contact hours) and is planning to activate Business Spanish (80 contact hours) in the future. At present these other Maymester courses are not available through GEO.
