One of the first things students notice when they arrive is that they have a lot of free time on their hands, specially at the beginning when you are not used to navigating the streets, don’t know many persons yet,   and don’t have a clue as to what to do or where to go.

At your new home, your host mom does the grocery shopping, prepares and serves your meals, and even washes and irons your clothes so you don’t have to worry about those rutinary obligations and concerns.  All this can be quite disconcerting to those that are used to living a very active, and often heavily scheduled, life.

But don’t worry!  You will soon learn to enjoy this new found freedom for there is lots to see and do in Oviedo and many of opportunities for you to participate in activities that will engage you in the community and the culture.  Click on the links below for more details.
