A picture is worth a thousand words! As you can see, there are lots of things that you can do in your spare time. Outdoor and sports activities, dancing classes, attending cultural and festive events, exploring Asturias, baking cookies at the Oviedo Center, sampling the local cuisine, socializing in public places as the locals do, are all things students engage in while they are in Oviedo. They also learn to embrace and enjoy the slower pace of life here. In short, you will be living the life of the study abroad student and by all counts, it is a memorable time indeed.

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a student organization that collaborates with the University of Oviedo to organize different types of activities for international students. These range from local visits, hiking and canoeing outings, tapas events and much more. Some of ESN activities are complementary while others require payment of a discounted fee. ESN also organizes excursions to other regions of Spain on weekends and holidays that are very popular with our students.
