LOCAL VISITS
Several field trips are planned each term, including the intensive summer sessions. They are usually within Oviedo, neighboring cities, and destinations within Asturias. All terms include field trips to some of the following places:
OVIEDO Visits to some of the following: Catedral de Oviedo, Museo Arqueológico, Museo de Bellas Artes, Monumentos Prerrománicos.
GIJÓN Including visits to one of the following: Museo Etnográfico Pueblo de Asturias, Termas Romanas, Villa Romana de Veranes, Yacimiento Arqueológico de Campa de Torres, Jardines Botánicos, Universidad Laboral.
DAY TRIPS WITHIN ASTURIAS OR NEIGHBORING REGIONS
Each term, the program includes at least two day trips within Asturias or visits to sights in the neighboring regions of Cantabria and León. Destinations vary depending on the term and are chosen among the following:
- Eastern Asturias: Covadonga and Cangas de Onis, the seaside village of Llanes with its medieval quarter and Cubos de la Memoria, Colombres and the Museo de la Emigración or Cueva Prehistorica El Pindal, Ribadesella and Cueva Prehistorica de Tito Bustillo, Museo de la Sidra in Nava.
- Central Asturias: Senda del Oso, Colegiata de San Pedro and Parque de la Prehistoria.
- Western Asturias: Yacimiento Arqueológico Castro de Coaña and the coastal town of Luarca.
- Cantabria: Santillana del Mar
- Castilla y León: Astorga and León.
